This past year, the Grand Island Rotary
Club held the second annual Rotary Radio Auction on KRGI AM 1430.
From the offices of Alltel, members of Grand Island Rotary took bids
over the phone, entered the data in a computer bank, and several Rotarians
took to the airwaves on KRGI to entice listeners to call in and bid. With Lynn Cronk and Randy Blair as co-chairs, the event successfully raised a net total of $15,000. This is $1,500 over the net total raised in 2003. Benefactors were:
The Rotary Radio Auction was a true testament of the Rotary Motto "Service Above Self,” with Rotarians giving of their time and talent to improve the community in which we live. Soon, we’ll be announcing the dates for the Rotary Radio Auction, 2005. |
