Greetings.

It’s my pleasure to welcome you to the Grand Island Rotary Club website.  The Grand Island Rotary Club which meets each Tuesday noon at the Riverside Country Club is Grand Island's original and longest running Rotary Club and the largest civic club in our community of Grand Island.

The Grand Island Rotary Club is now in its 90th year, (chartered April 1, 1920) and has had the pleasure of being home to Grand Island’s finest men and women, men and women with a passion to help our community, and our World become a better place.   The men and women of the Grand Island Rotary club are challenged each day to "place service above self", and embody a sense of caring and giving. 

Rotary International President John Kenny established this year's 2009 -2010 Rotary moto as:  "The Future of Rotary is in your hands" - a very fitting motto that emphasizes our responsibilties as Rotarians to shape our future, our own destiny.

This year, the Grand Island Rotary Club placed emphasis on adopting the "Club Committee Structure" with each member of the club expected to join a committee.  Committees include:  Membership, Public Relations, Foundation, and Service (International, Community, and Vocational).  Rotary club members meet at least once quarterly in committees to set and establish goals and plan committee activities.
